International Women’s Day Celebrations!

Sunday was buzzing with excitement as the whole world came together to celebrate women and their incredible contributions to humanity. The University of Zambia Lecturers and Researchers’ Union’s (UNZALARU) vibrant women’s committee was proud to participate in the celebratory march past, which was graced by His Excellency President Hakainde Hichilema at the Zambia Agricultural and Commercial Showgrounds.

UNZALARU reaffirms its commitment to promoting gender equality and empowering women in the university and beyond. We pledge to continue advocating for women’s rights, providing support, and fostering an inclusive environment where everyone can thrive.

The union’s participation in the celebrations highlights its dedication to creating a more just and equitable society. We are proud of the progress made so far and are committed to doing more.
