The University of Zambia Lecturers and Researchers’ Union (UNZALARU) is trade union originally established as an Academic Association in 1992. In 1993 UNZALARU entered into a Recognition Agreement with the University of Zambia (UNZA) Management and was registered as a Trade Union under the Industrial Relations Act, of 1991 of the Laws of Zambia.
